"Financial Style"

The "Financial Style" scale consists of items such as ""Married couples should be open with one another about their finances," and, "I often spend money impulsively." It consists of items that assess attitudes and behaviors that are indicative of how financial power is likely to be distributed within a relationship.

In our research, it has been a significant predictor of long term relationship happiness and contentment for both women and men, but is markedly more predictive of female happiness and contentment.

The "Financial Style" scale consists of 10 of the 180 items in the "Compatible Lifestyle Questionnaire-R©".
