"Romantic & Sexual Style"

The "Romantic & Sexual Style" scale consists of items such as ""I prefer to spend a lot of time talking in romantic relationships," and, "Sex must be initiated spontaneously at all times." It consists of items that assess attitudes, preferences, and needs regarding emotional and sexual intimacy in close interpersonal relationships.

In our research, it has been a significant predictor of long term relationship happiness and contentment for both women and men, but is markedly more predictive of male happiness and contentment.

The "Romantic & Sexual Style" scale consists of 20 of the 180 items in the "Compatible Lifestyle Questionnaire-R©".
